The Digital Cultural Heritage (DCH)

The Digital Cultural Heritage (DCH) is an interdisciplinary research group that aims at undertaking state-of-art research in the confluence of cultural heritage and digital technologies. DCH is part of the Research Center (RC) of Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) in Sulaimani, the cultural capital of Kurdistan Region of Iraq and a key region in humanity’s pre-history achievements. DCH brings together local and international academics and scholars from different fields, sectors, and geographic locations. The founding head of DCH, Dr. Rozhen Kamal Mohammed-Amin, is an architect and a scholar with an interdisciplinary background and research training from Canada and a life-long interest in cultural heritage and technology.

This young research group builds on its founder and members’ extensive professional and scholarly connections and collaborations locally and internationally. DCH’s projects are funded internationally and directed with local and international partners. Through its collaborative research projects, DCH aims at becoming a world-leading research group with its scholarly contribution and impacts locally and internationally.
